Black A.U.
Isaiah Lavon Perkins, better known as Black A.U. or “The Golden Child”, is a Detroit-born virtuoso encompassing roles as a composer, author, performer, engineer, and sound designer. As an artist, Black A.U. burst onto the Detroit scene in 2007 as the remarkable lyricist “P-Live”, earning accolades like the Hip Hop Cypher on 105.9 FM, performing at major events like Summer Jamz 2008, and sharing stages with icons such as Ludacris and Lil Wayne. By 2009, this raw talent culminated in a record deal with major labels, leading to his debut album “Coming to You Live”. However, industry challenges led him to pivot, crafting music for prominent television and film outlets.
Returning to the music limelight in 2021, a move to Atlanta saw him collaborating with luminaries like T.I. and earning significant placements with Grand Hustle Records. 2022 marked a milestone with the launch of his reflective album “Gold Era” under his label, Live Positive, symbolizing empowerment and inspiring listeners to embrace their destiny. As Black A.U. envisions the future, it’s all about pioneering the sonic evolution of music and uplifting others in their artistic journeys. ~ Black A.U.
